Pilgramage

 <day to dusk - Thanksgiving>

Last night I could hear the sounds of the waves crashing.  So loud and domineering in fact that I couldn't fall asleep.  It was M and mine's first Thanksgiving solo. Just us. Cooking, drinking and eating as we pleased. It felt both freeing and off putting.  Receiving pictures from our families back east of the festivities. The tides of the pacific are the constant reminder of the trek we made. We sold our furniture from our Williamsburg apartment and made the trip West with nothing but $2K, our kitty and the insane amount of clothing (shoes, accessories, etc) I had amassed in my 7 years of city living.  We gave up and started anew. It was terrifying and thriling.  And I'm grateful.  I'm grateful for our tiny bungalow with built-ins and a deck, our fearsome little hunter kitty, and M's eternal optimism of what we will build together in this city and in our lifetime.

Man Knot

The man knot.  The bun knows no boundaries - old women porn and body builders it's unisex appeal makes it the "IT" style for anyone. Frankly I'm thinking it looks better on this dude then me.

Like in Cyclades

 After 2+ weeks in Greece I finally gave into yogurt.  Never one of my favorites, it's now a staple in the house.  Converted to the white tangy stuff.

An East Coaster in SaMo

Rounding in on year 2 as an Angeleno I'm finding the rough edges of my New York exterior are not completely sanded down from an abundance of sunny days and porch-filled afternoons, but rather are still poking through thanks to traffic, vagrant alley fights and the marine layer.  Today, I have more succulents, sandals and surfer speak then I ever thought possible.  And I even gave into the purchase of a pair of Uggs. I swore them off then caved one "chilly" day.  Herein lies the goodies of our west coast life from style and design to food & life, etc.  Happy gazing.
